About the Role
Movana Hotel & Suites is a premier 4-star boutique hotel situated in the Alimosho corporate and commercial corridor of Lagos, Nigeria. Established in 2023, the property provides upscale accommodations, corporate event spaces, and high-end leisure amenities tailored for both business executives and discerning travelers on the Lagos Mainland. We are currently seeking a meticulous and reliable Janitor to join our housekeeping team and ensure our facilities remain spotless, welcoming, and compliant with top-tier hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of hotel lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and public guest areas.
- Empty trash receptacles, replace bin liners, and ensure proper waste disposal in accordance with hotel protocols.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, windows, and decorative surfaces regularly.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop hard flooring using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Replenish restroom supplies including soap, tissue, and paper towels consistently throughout shifts.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines while handling cleaning agents and equipment.
- Minimum of a SSCE or relevant academic qualification.
- Proven professional experience as a janitor, cleaner, or similar role within the hospitality or service industry.
- Deep understanding of proper cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and sanitation standards.
- Strong attention to detail with the physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift during long shifts.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
