About the Role
Danone Early Life Nutrition, a strategic business unit of the renowned Danone Group, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Head, Internal Control to join our thriving team in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening our internal control environment to support our mission of bringing health through food to as many people as possible across Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and monitor robust internal control frameworks to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and audits of business processes, financial statements, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams in Nigeria to remediate audit findings and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Ensure full adherence to local regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and international accounting standards.
- Drive risk management awareness and foster a culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability across the organization.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and regional compliance teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA is strictly required.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in internal audit, internal control, or risk management, preferably within a multinational FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of financial processes, SOX compliance, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities with impeccable ethical standards.
