About the Role
GVA Partners is looking for a dedicated and highly skilled IT Security Engineer to join a dynamic project team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in protecting critical enterprise data, ensuring network stability, and advancing our overall security posture.Key Responsibilities- Lead cybersecurity initiatives in collaboration with the Group Cybersecurity team and drive the implementation of information security projects.
- Design, document, and deploy secure infrastructure solutions to protect enterprise applications, networks (LAN, WAN, MAN, GAN), and data.
- Drive internal and external vulnerability assessments, penetration testing engagements, and manage remediation processes.
- Respond to escalated security events, manage incident response processes, and deploy effective tools like firewalls and WAFs.
- Maintain system workflows, troubleshoot hardware or software faults, and ensure continuous procedural system maintenance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT security specialization, preferably within a large organization or the telecommunications industry.
- Strong technical background as an engineer or architect in application security, network technologies, and encryption solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of security best practices, including defense in-depth, access controls, and SIEM.
- Relevant professional training in penetration testing, vulnerability lifecycle management, and advanced incident response.
