About the Role

Shalina Healthcare, a trusted market leader in making quality healthcare affordable and accessible across Africa, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IPQA Officer to join our team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing and packaging activities strictly comply with approved procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory guidelines, and our high company quality standards. You will actively monitor production processes, conduct essential in-process checks, review manufacturing documentation, and help uphold our unwavering commitment to patient safety and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily manufacturing and packaging operations to guarantee strict adherence to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), and GMP standards.
  • Perform comprehensive routine in-process inspections across various production stages, verifying critical parameters against approved specifications.
  • Conduct thorough line clearances before and after production cycles, ensuring the proper removal of previous materials, labels, and waste to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Review BMRs, BPRs, equipment logbooks, and production checklists for completeness, accuracy, and contemporaneous documentation.
  • Evaluate environmental conditions, personnel hygiene, gowning procedures, material handling, and cleaning protocols to maintain optimal cleanliness and compliance.
  • Identify operational deviations, support investigations, and assist in implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in Quality Assurance, In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA), Quality Control, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • In-depth practical knowledge of GMP, GDP, SOPs, deviation management, and batch documentation review within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Relevant professional certifications or specialized training in Quality Assurance and GMP will be considered a strong advantage.
