About the Role
MEDLOG Nigeria, the leading logistics arm of MSC based in Apapa, Lagos, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Inventory Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the seamless alignment between our physical store operations and financial reporting systems, ensuring optimal efficiency across our supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities- Manage comprehensive inventory records, stock valuation, and asset tracking to maintain high levels of data accuracy.
- Reconcile physical stock counts with financial records and monitor inventory movements closely.
- Support internal and external audits as well as month-end closing procedures efficiently.
- Manage stock-related invoices, monitor operational expenses, and actively investigate any inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help optimize working capital and streamline warehouse accounting processes.
- Possess a B.Sc. or HND in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrate 1 to 3 years of proven professional experience in inventory accounting or stock management.
- Strong proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and supply chain operations.
