About the Role
Movana Hotel & Suites, a premier 4-star boutique hotel located in the thriving Alimosho corridor of Lagos, Nigeria, is looking for a dedicated Inventory Clerk. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the seamless operation of our upscale accommodations, event spaces, and leisure amenities by ensuring accurate stock control, timely replenishment, and meticulous record-keeping of all hotel assets and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular physical stock counts of all hotel inventory, including housekeeping supplies, food and beverage items, and administrative materials.
- Reconcile stock records with actual physical counts to identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shrinkage.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure correct quantity and quality.
- Issue and distribute inventory items to various hotel departments while maintaining accurate issuance logs.
- Update and maintain digital and physical inventory databases with daily transaction records.
- Assist in preparing periodic inventory reports, stock valuations, and consumption trend analysis for management.
- Collaborate with procurement and department heads to prevent stockouts and manage reorder thresholds effectively.
- Minimum of OND, NCE, or relevant academic qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, Store Management, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Inventory Clerk, Storekeeper, or similar role, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle physical stock checks.
- Residency around the Alimosho axis or mainland Lagos is an added advantage.
