About the Role

We are currently looking for a diligent and qualified Inventory Accountant to join our finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in monitoring, recording, and reconciling inventory transactions, ensuring that our stock records and valuations remain impeccably accurate to support strategic management decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records and valuations in compliance with accounting standards
- Perform regular inventory reconciliations and analyze stock variances
- Monitor inventory movements, adjustments, write-offs, and shrinkage
- Coordinate closely with warehouse and operations teams to optimize stock management processes
- Prepare accurate inventory-related journal entries, reports, and financial summaries
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in inventory or cost accounting
- Strong knowledge of inventory valuation methods and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills
