About the Role
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a dynamic, results-driven professional for the position of Intervention Coordinator - Enterprise Growth. Based at our headquarters in Ibadan, Nigeria, this pivotal role will provide technical leadership, coordination, and quality assurance for Component 2 (Agri-Enterprise Growth) across Nigeria, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, aligning all efforts with the I-Youth 2.0 results framework.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and coordinate country-specific implementation plans for agribusiness parks, cooperatives, and market linkages.
- Oversee the establishment and operationalization of sustainable agribusiness parks and youth agribusiness cooperatives.
- Lead strategic partnerships with financial institutions, investors, off-takers, and government agencies to enhance youth access to finance and markets.
- Coordinate the adoption of digital technologies and climate-smart agricultural innovations.
- Monitor implementation progress against work plans and budgets, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions in collaboration with MEAL teams.
- Master's degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in agribusiness development, value chain development, or youth economic empowerment.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-country technical interventions, preferably within West Africa.
- Strong background in designing agribusiness incubation parks, facilitating access to finance, and engaging private sector stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Nigeria, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
