About the Role
Fortune Heights Farms Limited is a premier agricultural enterprise specializing in high-quality catfish production using advanced concrete tanks with a continuous supply of fresh water, alongside a state-of-the-art poultry operation housing over 163,000 layer birds dedicated to premium egg production. We are seeking a diligent and analytical Internal Control Officer to join our expanding team at our Odogbolu, Ogun State location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, evaluating operational efficiencies, and implementing robust financial and administrative controls across our integrated farming business.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures across all farm operations, including fish production, poultry management, and egg distribution.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory, feed utilization, egg production counts, and livestock mortality rates to prevent discrepancies and waste.
- Review financial transactions, payroll records, procurement processes, and expense reports to ensure compliance and detect potential risks or fraud.
- Evaluate operational workflows in both the catfish and poultry facilities to recommend improvements that enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management, highlighting control deficiencies and offering actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with farm managers to ensure adherence to company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience working in an internal control, auditing, or finance role, ideally within the agricultural or manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, financial regulations, and inventory auditing techniques.
- Exceptional analytical skills with high attention to detail and absolute integrity.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet software and computerized accounting or enterprise resource planning systems.
