We are currently seeking a dedicated Internal Control Officer to safeguard our financial assets, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure strict adherence to company policies across all departments.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and established internal control frameworks.
- Review financial transactions, payment requests, invoices, and supporting documents for accuracy and proper authorization.
- Identify operational and financial risks, proactively recommending appropriate control measures.
- Conduct routine checks and internal audits to detect errors, irregularities, and potential fraud.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping across all departments.
- Monitor inventory, assets, procurement, and expense management to prevent losses and misuse.
- Investigate reported control breaches and discrepancies, escalating findings promptly to management.
- Prepare periodic internal control reports highlighting key findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure identified control weaknesses are thoroughly addressed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen organizational accountability and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience in internal control, auditing, or risk management, preferably within the ICT or retail sector.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA are a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with high attention to detail.
