We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Internal Control Officer to join our dynamic team and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity, operational efficiency, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the correctness and accuracy of all company records through comprehensive daily call-over reports and strict oversight of credit sales and payable portfolios.
- Monitor diesel intake from vendors and internal dispensing processes to prevent conversion, pilferage, theft, or fraud.
- Ensure strict adherence to approved company budgets, proper approval and retirement of I.O.U collections within 48 hours, and overall compliance with internal processes and regulations.
- Safeguard various company assets, including consumables, stock, and fixed assets, while enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Detect and prevent fraud, forgery, operational errors, and material shortages early through rigorous monitoring and investigation.
- Prepare and submit detailed regular reports to management on internal control activities, control deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
- Possession of a B.Sc or HND in Accounting from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory possession of ICAN ATS Certification.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in internal control, auditing, compliance, risk management, or accounting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office tools, business planning, financial analysis, and professional report writing.
