Food Concepts Plc, the parent company of the pioneering and fast-growing Quick Service Restaurant brand Chicken Republic, is looking for a meticulous and driven Internal Control Associate to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our financial integrity, ensuring adherence to corporate policies, and supporting the seamless operations of our multifaceted business.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure strict compliance with organizational processes, procedures, and policies across Chicken Republic stores and operational units.
- Verify and maintain accurate internal control checks and records, including asset tagging to safeguard company property.
- Track cash advances and review imprest accounts, promptly addressing and resolving any financial irregularities.
- Conduct periodic physical verifications of monthly stocks and assets while supervising goods receipts from suppliers to certify Goods Received Notes (GRN).
- Vouch and verify all payment vouchers for accuracy, completeness, and proper management approvals.
- Create and maintain error log closed registers, ensuring all identified documentation errors are corrected swiftly.
- Perform call-over of SCD Finance and SAP finance postings, alongside conducting due diligence and pricing reviews.
- Update and close all internal control registers daily while generating timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
- Possession of a good first degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Active membership or partial completion of professional bodies such as ICAN, CITN, ACCA, or CIS is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 4 years of proven professional experience in a similar internal control or audit role.
- Strong proficiency in financial accounting and comprehensive knowledge of modern audit procedures.
