About the Role
Denam Properties Limited is a leading real estate development and property management company based in Abuja, Nigeria, dedicated to delivering exceptional living experiences. We are currently seeking a diligent and professional Internal Auditor to join our subsidiary, Denam Apartments Limited (DAL), reporting directly to the General Manager and Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, procurement, inventory, and administrative activities.
- Examine transactions, invoices, receipts, and payment records to verify accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Perform regular inventory and stock checks while investigating any operational or financial variances.
- Identify internal control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, financial irregularities, and potential fraud risks.
- Execute both routine and surprise audits, verifying company assets and maintaining meticulous audit records.
- Prepare timely, clear, and objective audit reports outlining findings and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and support management in enhancing risk management frameworks.
- Bachelor Degree, HND, or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of proven experience in internal auditing, financial accounting, or compliance roles.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or CIA is a distinct advantage.
- Prior working experience within the hospitality, shortlets, hotel, or property management sectors is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and financial analysis techniques.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, high integrity, absolute confidentiality, and superb report-writing skills.
