About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professionally qualified Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding company assets, evaluating risk management processes, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive risk-based annual internal audit plan covering financial, operational, and compliance activities.
- Monitor internal controls and evaluate adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Identify control weaknesses, fraud risks, and inefficiencies, documenting root causes and risk ratings accurately.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based audit reports with actionable recommendations for executive management and the Audit Committee.
- Follow up on management action plans to ensure the timely and effective remediation of all identified audit findings.
- Coordinate seamlessly with external auditors, regulators, and other assurance functions as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Recognized professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent; holding a CIA or CPA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in internal audit or external audit, preferably within the manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sector.
- Strong working knowledge of internal controls, risk management frameworks, financial reporting, and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit or ERP tools, with data analytics skills considered a strong plus.
