About the Role
Domeo Resources International (DRI) is a premier organization providing expert HR and Management Consultancy solutions built on a foundation of excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting a meticulous and dedicated Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team and oversee financial and operational controls within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular internal audits of financial and operational activities across hotel departments, including Rooms, Food and Beverage, and Events.
- Audit daily sales, cash collections, POS transactions, refunds, and discounts to ensure revenue assurance and prevent leakages.
- Perform periodic physical stock counts, reconcile inventory records, and investigate variances or unexplained losses.
- Review payroll, expenditure, and procurement transactions for proper authorization and strict compliance with company policies.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identify operational risks, and recommend corrective measures.
- Investigate suspected financial irregularities and prepare clear, objective audit reports for senior management.
- Monitor compliance with segregation of duties and follow up on the implementation of previous audit recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in internal audit, external audit, or financial control, ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Strong proficiency in accounting principles, revenue auditing, inventory control, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills with high integrity and objectivity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and hotel PMS or POS systems.
- Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or ACA are a strong advantage.
