About the Role
Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited (EPIFL) is a rapidly growing integrated agribusiness enterprise located in Igbariam, Anambra State, Nigeria. Driven by a commitment to agricultural excellence, we specialize in large-scale poultry production, delivering premium poultry products to meet the increasing demand for protein across Nigerian households and commercial enterprises. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated Internal Audit Officer to join our dynamic team and fortify our internal control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive internal audits across finance, operations, procurement, and inventory management.
- Review existing internal control frameworks and recommend robust improvements to mitigate potential business risks.
- Monitor strict compliance with company policies, operating procedures, and relevant statutory regulations.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, control gaps, and potential fraud risks within the agricultural value chain.
- Prepare accurate, objective audit reports featuring clear findings and actionable recommendations for management.
- Follow up proactively on previously raised audit issues to guarantee timely resolution and implementation.
- Participate actively in periodic physical stock counts, fixed asset verification, and end-to-end process reviews.
- Collaborate with and support external auditors during statutory audits and compliance assessments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Professional certification or ongoing progress towards ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent bodies is a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven work experience in internal audit, internal control, or risk management.
- Demonstrated prior or current work experience within the FMCG, Manufacturing, or Agriculture sectors will be strongly favored.
- Strong understanding of modern internal control principles, auditing standards, and regulatory compliance.
