About the Role
Mikano International Limited is currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Audit Officer to join our dynamic Audit department in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and report on comprehensive internal audits across various operational and financial departments.
- Review financial records, operational processes, and ensure strict compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, and associated risks, proposing practical corrective actions.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and diligently follow up on outstanding issues with department heads.
- Support senior management in strengthening corporate governance, risk management frameworks, and internal control systems.
- Prepare detailed, objective audit reports and present clear findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to professional auditing standards and ethical guidelines in all assigned activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in auditing, risk management, or internal control systems.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and professional report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
