About the Role
Dangote Group, one of Africa's largest and most diversified business conglomerates, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Instrumentation Engineer for our Apapa Terminal facility in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing instrumentation engineering and maintenance policies to guarantee optimal plant availability, operational efficiency, and adherence to top-tier quality management standards.
Key Responsibilities- Execute routine inspections of instrumentation equipment according to established maintenance schedules, workload demands, and company procedures.
- Coordinate testing, repairing, calibration, and advanced troubleshooting of Instrumentation Control systems to minimize downtime.
- Allocate work orders and supervise instrumentation technicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Endorse work feedback and accurately close out work orders within the maintenance database system.
- Liaise closely with the Mechanical and Electrical sections to establish seamless integration between operations and maintenance teams.
- Prepare and review comprehensive maintenance performance reports, including Preliminary Failure and Root Cause Analysis Reports.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a manufacturing, port management, or heavy industrial plant environment.
- In-depth technical knowledge of VFD and UPS operations, industrial weighing systems, and Instrument Load centers.
- Familiarity with standard duty logbook activities and proven capability in maintaining ISO quality management system requirements.
