About the Role
Beam Energy Limited is an established Integrated Engineering Solution Provider delivering high-quality infrastructure services across the oil and gas, power, manufacturing, and construction sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa. We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive technical excellence in our upcoming engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review instrumentation design deliverables including P&IDs, instrument indexes, datasheets, loop diagrams, and control system architectures.
- Size and select field instruments, control valves, PSVs, and actuated valves while ensuring compliance with hazardous area classifications.
- Define functional requirements and supervise system integration for DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, and Fire and Gas systems.
- Supervise site installation, calibration, loop checks, FAT, SAT, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Prepare project budgets, time schedules, Bill of Quantities, and comprehensive as-built documentation.
- Provide technical evaluation for subcontractors and maintain seamless coordination with clients and project stakeholders.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and quality control procedures across all site operations.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Eng/B.Sc) in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience within the oil and gas or power transmission and distribution sectors.
- Active membership or affiliation with COREN, NSE, or other relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
- Proven expertise working on upstream, midstream, or downstream facilities alongside international clients and IOCs.
- Proficient in engineering software tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD for technical drafting.
