About the Role
African Natural Resources & Mines Limited (ANRML) was incorporated in 2012 as part of African Industries Group’s backward integration strategy for steel production. Beginning with a mining lease in Kaduna State, we have expanded our operations to hold multiple mining and exploration licenses across over 15 sites in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Drone Operator to join our security team and enhance our site surveillance capabilities using advanced civilian drone technology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine aerial surveillance of mining areas, perimeter boundaries, access roads, and company facilities.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access in real time.
- Capture high-quality aerial images and video footage to support security operations and internal investigations.
- Provide live surveillance updates to the Security Control Room and coordinate effectively with ground security teams.
- Maintain accurate flight logs and submit comprehensive daily surveillance reports to management.
- Conduct routine pre- and post-flight drone inspections, ensuring proper maintenance and handling of all equipment.
- Comply strictly with applicable Nigerian aviation regulations, company security procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification; relevant technical certifications will be a distinct advantage.
- Proven drone operating skills backed by relevant certification or regulatory authorization.
- Prior hands-on experience in security surveillance, military, law enforcement, or mining operations.
- Strong observation skills, effective communication, reliable reporting abilities, and basic technical troubleshooting proficiency.
