About the Role
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a premier regional organization dedicated to economic integration and development across 15 West African member states. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified professional for the role of Information Technology Officer (Job Code: 20003709) within our Internal Services division. Under the supervision of the Principal Officer, Internal Services, the successful candidate will ensure the efficient functioning of information and communication systems for the Office of the Auditor General, driving digitalization, ICT projects, and cybersecurity compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of ICT strategies and policies aligned with ECOWAS digital transformation objectives.
- Manage and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), wireless networks, VPNs, and enterprise internet connectivity.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement cybersecurity best practices, and oversee disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
- Provide second-level technical support, supervise helpdesk activities, and resolve complex technical incidents promptly.
- Support audit teams through ICT-enabled audit tools, data analytics solutions, and rigorous risk management practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree and/or relevant professional certifications in IT or Cybersecurity will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in ICT operations, systems administration, or enterprise infrastructure management.
- Must be below 45 years of age (not applicable to internal candidates).
- Fluency in one of the official ECOWAS languages (English, French, or Portuguese); knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Competitive annual salary starting at UA 40,696.78 (approximately USD 52,648.78) under the P3/P4 grade structure.
