About the Role

We are looking for an experienced POS Terminal Developer to build the critical software running on payment terminals and embedded devices. In this role, you will engineer merchant-facing applications that perform seamlessly on constrained hardware, handle unstable network conditions, and securely process transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain robust Android applications for supported terminal devices using Java and Kotlin.
- Integrate complex terminal SDKs, hardware peripherals, and secure device authentication mechanisms.
- Implement reliable communication with backend APIs, ensuring seamless handling of timeouts, retries, and network recovery.
- Prevent duplicate transaction processing and safeguard sensitive financial data with secure local storage practices.
- Build comprehensive logging systems and manage application versioning, updates, and deployment lifecycles.
- Optimize application performance for hardware and resource-constrained terminal environments.
- Participate actively in rigorous testing, quality assurance, and terminal certification activities.
- Proven professional experience in Android development utilizing Java and/or Kotlin.
- Demonstrated expertise in integrating hardware SDKs and physical device peripherals.
- Solid understanding of REST API integration, state management, and robust error handling for unstable networks.
- Familiarity with secure local storage and industry-standard application security practices.
- Proficiency in Git, debugging, and software release management methodologies.
