About the Role

Kimberly Ryan is looking for a dedicated and experienced Information Security Officer (Data Protection) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will champion our information security and data protection strategies, ensuring our operations align with regulatory standards while safeguarding sensitive information assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor comprehensive information security strategies, policies, and operational controls.
  • Oversee the organizational data protection strategy and ensure strict compliance with relevant Nigerian and international regulations.
  • Conduct thorough information security and data protection risk assessments, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Develop and maintain robust data protection policies, procedures, and effective risk treatment plans.
  • Monitor and proactively respond to security incidents, data subject access requests, and compliance issues.
  • Coordinate Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), IT audits, and other critical security assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with various business units to strengthen enterprise risk management, internal controls, and overall information security awareness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Accounting, or Finance, with a minimum of Second-Class Upper.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in Information Security and Data Protection, preferably within the Nigerian Capital Market.
  • Strong, demonstrated knowledge of information security frameworks, cybersecurity, risk management, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data protection legislation, particularly the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
  • Possession of relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CEH, CIPP, CDPO, or ISO certifications.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
