About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of outsourcing, technical staffing, and consultancy services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Industrial Hygienist Officer to join our dynamic HSE team. In this role, you will play a critical part in identifying and minimizing health risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across all company facilities and project locations.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in actions to identify and minimize health risks and operational impacts on personnel health.
- Conduct area and personnel exposure assessments, monitoring, and industrial hygiene surveillance programs.
- Ensure necessary statutory authorizations are obtained from regulatory bodies such as the NNRA and NUPRC/DPR.
- Investigate industrial hygiene issues, manage the IH database, and maintain chemical inventories and monitoring equipment.
- Participate in Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessments (IHRA) and follow up on the implementation of mitigating actions.
- Advise line management on occupational health hazards and liaise with the Nigeria Medical Division.
- Produce pertinent inspection reports and conduct training and awareness sessions on industrial hygiene topics.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Occupational Health/Hygiene or Applied Sciences (Second Class Upper Division) from a reputable university.
- At least 2 years of industrial hygiene experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of international and national industrial hygiene standards and guidelines (OSHA, ACGIH, ISO 18001, DPR, FMENV).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to work effectively under limited supervision.
