About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified manufacturing conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager - Issuing to join our dynamic operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee all materials issuing operations for production, maintenance, and site projects, ensuring correct material selection, timely issuance, and stringent inventory control to support uninterrupted plant operations while minimizing stock losses.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily issuing activities to production, maintenance, and contractors according to approved requisitions and work orders.
- Verify requisitions for authorizations, technical specifications, and availability before material release.
- Ensure accurate picking, kiting, and staging of materials while maintaining strict FIFO/FEFO inventory disciplines.
- Process issues using ERP/WMS modules and ensure all documentation, such as Material Issue Notes, is complete and properly archived.
- Control the issuance of critical spares and high-value items by enforcing approved release matrices.
- Collaborate with planning teams to prioritize urgent breakdown requests and expedite material availability.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the issuing team to optimize performance and part-identification accuracy.
- Implement access controls and rigorous sign-off procedures to eliminate theft, pilferage, and unauthorized issues.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of stores and materials issuing experience within a heavy industry, cement, or large-scale manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with ERP stores modules and automated material issue workflows.
- Strong technical knowledge of spare parts identification and mechanical or electrical parts reading.
