We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Indirect Taxation Analyst to join our team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will safeguard our fiscal operations, ensure compliance with evolving Nigerian tax laws, and manage relationships with key regulatory bodies while providing strategic advisory support across our entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advisory support on contracts, transactions, and potential indirect tax implications in liaison with Legal, C&P, and Finance departments.
  • Design and update the Indirect Tax matrix for all company entities to minimize liability and reputational exposure.
  • Review contract tax clauses and coordinate periodic external audits with agencies such as NEITI, NRS, SIRS, and NDDC.
  • Manage regulatory relationships, documentation, and remittances with NUPRC, NDDC, and NRS as a fiscal agent of the government.
  • Supervise the preparation and timely filing of monthly and annual VAT and WHT returns while resolving tax queries.
  • Direct accounting and treasury operations on vendor master data updates and statutory indirect tax payments.
  • Apply for and secure Tax Clearance Certificates (TCC) and manage WHT credit notes and online revenue receipts for vendors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Level 6 qualification).
  • Minimum of 6 years of post-graduation professional experience in corporate tax and accounting functions within Nigeria.
  • Mandatory professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ACCA.
  • Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian federal and state tax laws, tax treaties, and multilateral agreements.
  • Exceptional analytical, cross-functional collaboration, and interpersonal skills with strong regulatory negotiation capabilities.
  • Native or C2 professional proficiency in English.
