About the Role
Zitelle Group, a prominent manufacturing conglomerate specializing in palm kernel vegetable oil, soap, and plastic production with over 400 dedicated employees, is seeking a qualified and experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Amansea, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will play an instrumental part in safeguarding our business interests, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and supporting our continuous growth within the Nigerian manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic legal advice and support on daily business and operational matters to management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and business documents.
- Advise the organization comprehensively on Nigerian Labour Law, employee relations, and HR-related legal matters.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage potential legal risks across all corporate divisions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough legal research and deliver practical, business-oriented guidance to executive leadership.
- Liaise effectively with external legal advisers, regulatory bodies, and relevant stakeholders as required.
- Possession of an LL.B degree and a valid Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional legal experience, with prior in-house corporate experience being a strong advantage.
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and corporate regulations.
- Demonstrated proven expertise in contract drafting, meticulous review, and successful negotiation.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, legal research, and interpersonal negotiation skills.
