About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and tech-savvy In-House Counsel to join our vibrant team in Nigeria. Unlike a traditional law firm environment, you will be deeply embedded in our daily business operations, supporting client meetings, ensuring rapid contract turnaround times, and safeguarding our corporate interests in a high-growth setting.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and manage the full lifecycle of commercial contracts and Service Level Agreements with high accuracy and a 24-hour turnaround time.
- Act as the primary point of contact for corporate governance, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and risk reporting.
- Provide proactive, real-time legal advisory to internal stakeholders to mitigate disputes and manage potential litigation efficiently.
- Participate in client onboarding meetings to ensure seamless legal alignment from the initial touchpoint.
- Translate complex legal frameworks into practical, easy-to-understand standard operating procedures for the business.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university.
- Barrister-at-Law (B.L) and active membership in the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated in-house corporate experience, preferably within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong proficiency in collaborative digital tools and CRM platforms for efficient legal document management.
