About the Role
Abuja World Academy (AWA), a premier co-educational British international school located in Jahi, Abuja, and managed by The Regent Schools group, is seeking a dynamic IGCSE Physics Teacher. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective IGCSE Physics lessons aligned with the British curriculum standards.
- Plan, prepare, and resource well-structured lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of secondary students.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students constructively.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, positive, and conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the science department to develop innovative teaching materials and cross-curricular projects.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student progress and pastoral matters.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Education, or a related field; a Master's degree or PGCE is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional teaching experience delivering the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching science and inspiring secondary school students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Valid certification or registration with relevant educational bodies.
