About the Role
Folton Charis International School (FCIS) is an elite, co-educational private institution strategically located at No. 69, Drive A, Saraha Main Estate, Lokogoma, Abuja, Nigeria. Registered under RC 1471054, our school was established by Professor and Mrs. Anthony Olusegun Adegbulugbe to nurture a distinguished generation of global leaders through the integration of superior academic standards and solid moral fortitude. We are currently seeking a dedicated and culturally fluent Igbo Teacher to join our esteemed faculty and impart indigenous language skills and cultural heritage to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Igbo language lessons in alignment with the approved school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic improvement and fluency.
- Design instructional resources and interactive activities that promote cultural appreciation, correct grammar, and conversational skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance evaluations, and behavioral development.
- Participate actively in school events, cultural days, staff meetings, and professional development workshops.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Igbo Language, Education, Arts, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Proven teaching experience in an accredited primary or secondary school setting.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian educational curriculum and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Igbo.
