In this role, you will play a pivotal part in inspiring students to appreciate and master the Igbo language and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Igbo language lessons aligned with the approved school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs and growth.
- Create a vibrant, inclusive, and culturally enriching classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
- Design instructional resources and integrate innovative teaching methods to make language learning enjoyable and effective.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and school administration on extracurricular activities, cultural events, and school programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral development in accordance with school policies.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Igbo Language, Arts, or a related field.
- Mandatory possession of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification.
- Proven professional teaching experience within a reputable primary or secondary school setting.
- Possession of higher professional certificates or advanced degrees in education will be an added advantage.
