About the Role
Cedarcrest Hospitals, a leading modern specialist medical center located in the heart of Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a compassionate and skilled ICU Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of highly trained professionals committed to clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and record patient vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters continuously.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as prescribed by physicians.
- Manage complex medical equipment including mechanical ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Assess patient conditions promptly and initiate life-saving interventions during emergency situations.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, specialists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Provide empathetic support, education, and reassurance to patients and their families during critical times.
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.Sc. Nursing) or Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
- Post-basic certification in Intensive Care Nursing or Critical Care is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of active clinical nursing experience within an ICU setting.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under extreme pressure.
