About the Role
Dabitos Schools, a reputable and comprehensive co-educational learning institution located in Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and innovative I.C.T Teacher. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the digital future of our students, spanning from the foundational crèche level all the way through to senior secondary school. We are looking for an educator who can make computer science engaging, practical, and accessible to young learners in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive I.C.T curriculum tailored to various educational levels from early years to secondary school.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and practical computer science lessons that foster critical thinking and technical skills.
- Manage and maintain the school computer laboratory to ensure optimal functionality and a safe learning environment for students.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Guide students in practical software applications, basic programming, internet safety, and digital citizenship.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate technology across diverse subjects within the school curriculum.
- Supervise computer-based examinations and prepare students for external examinations where applicable.
- Minimum of a NCE, B.Ed, B.Sc, or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Proven teaching experience within a recognized primary or secondary school environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for child development and modern educational technologies.
- Reside within Ilasamaja, Mushin, or easily accessible areas in Lagos State.
