We are currently looking for a diligent and experienced In-House DX AC Technician to join our dynamic facility management team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that all Direct Expansion air-conditioning units operate at peak performance, providing a comfortable and conducive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, service, maintain, and repair various Direct Expansion systems including split, cassette, and ducted AC units.
- Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules and routine cleaning procedures for all assigned cooling units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex cooling, electrical, refrigeration, and control-system faults accurately.
- Monitor, check, and record vital operating parameters such as refrigerant pressure, voltage, current, and temperature readings.
- Perform critical HVAC procedures including refrigerant charging, recovery, leak detection, system evacuation, copper pipe installation, and brazing.
- Replace and repair major components like compressors, fan motors, PCBs, sensors, and capacitors.
- Inspect and clear condensate drainage systems to prevent water leakage and maintain system hygiene.
- Conduct thorough testing and commissioning after completing installations, servicing, or major repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Minimum of a technical qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a closely related engineering field.
- Proven hands-on experience of 2 to 3 years working specifically with DX air-conditioning systems within commercial or residential facilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in using essential HVAC testing instruments including manifold gauges, multimeters, and clamp meters.
- In-depth understanding of electrical wiring, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail when diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Prior working knowledge or practical experience with VRV/VRF systems will be considered a significant added advantage.
