About the Role
Alpha Mead Group, a leading total real estate solutions company operating across Africa, is seeking a dedicated and experienced BMS & Solar Systems Technician to join our dynamic facility management team in Abuja. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation of advanced building management systems, HVAC controls, and solar PV infrastructure to drive energy efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure, HVAC, lighting, and electrical networks.
- Maintain and optimize solar PV systems, inverters, battery banks, and charge controllers for maximum generation efficiency.
- Analyze utility data, monitor energy consumption, and support the implementation of cost-saving facility energy audits.
- Conduct routine inspections, execute preventive maintenance schedules, and ensure strict compliance with HSE and electrical safety standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary facility teams to resolve technical faults and minimize equipment downtime.
- OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience in BMS, building automation, solar PV maintenance, and energy management.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, system diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Relevant technical certifications in solar energy or facility automation platforms are a distinct advantage.
