About the Role
International Facilities Services Limited (IFS) is a leading global facilities management company delivering cost-effective, end-to-end hard and soft maintenance solutions across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and the Middle East. Powered by advanced automation systems and international standards, we ensure optimal environments for our diverse commercial clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to maintain, service, and repair our large-scale commercial HVAC infrastructure, including Daikin VRV/VRF systems, air handling units (AHUs), and chillers managed through a Building Management System (BMS).
Key Responsibilities- Carry out scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on VRV/VRF outdoor and indoor units, AHUs, and chiller plants according to OEM service intervals.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-circuit faults while cleaning filters, inspecting coils, and checking lines for leaks.
- Monitor and respond to BMS alarms and trends, utilizing data for effective fault-finding and system optimization.
- Support chiller-specific operations including water treatment checks, pump and cooling-tower inspections, and load monitoring.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and defect reports using the company's CMMS/CAFM platform.
- Respond promptly to HVAC-related emergency call-outs and adhere strictly to safe isolation and permit-to-work procedures.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of demonstrable hands-on experience in commercial HVAC maintenance, specifically with Daikin VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, and chillers.
- Strong working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management software.
- Ability to work independently on routine PPM and escalate complex technical faults appropriately.
