About the Role
New Incentives is a US-based nonprofit committed to implementing health-related cash transfer programs to save lives in developing countries. Operating in Nigeria, we provide pregnant women with at-risk pregnancies conditional cash transfers, encouraging them to follow medical advice and ensure their children are born healthy. We are currently looking for a diligent Human Resources Officer to join our dynamic team in North West Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in Field Officer selection, manage in-person interviews at the LGA level, and liaise with community leaders to drive local recruitment.
- Promote job openings across social media platforms, manage recruitment tracking sheets, and conduct thorough reference and background checks.
- Facilitate onboarding processes, including tracking pension, NHF, and NSITF registrations, and coordinating physical training sessions for new hires.
- Monitor employee leave applications via Zoho, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure seamless communication with statutory agencies for remittances.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of general Human Resources experience, preferably within an NGO or nonprofit environment.
- Must reside in North West Nigeria with strong local networks and contacts.
- Proficiency in English and Hausa languages (both verbal and written); knowledge of additional local dialects is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace tools.
