About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with school strategic goals while ensuring full compliance with Nigerian labour laws and regulatory requirements
  • Lead comprehensive recruitment, selection, onboarding, confirmation, and exit processes for academic and non-academic staff
  • Manage performance management systems including goal setting, appraisals, improvement plans, and staff development programmes
  • Oversee employee relations, including grievance resolution, disciplinary processes, conflict management, staff engagement, and welfare initiatives
  • Coordinate learning and development programmes by identifying training needs and monitoring effectiveness
  • Administer HR operations including employee records, leave management, attendance, payroll inputs, benefits administration, and HR information systems
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, and statutory obligations through regular audits and effective governance
  • Partner with school leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and succession planning initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or related field
  • Master's Degree or MBA (advantageous)
  • Professional certification such as CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI (highly desirable)
  • Minimum 7 years progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • Proven expertise managing full employee lifecycle: recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, payroll administration
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices
  • Experience in educational or service-oriented organizations preferred
