About the Role
Join UUL United Logistics NIG LTD as an HR Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping our dynamic workforce within the logistics and transportation sector. We are seeking a results-driven HR professional with specialized experience in logistics operations to serve as a key liaison between management and employees, ensuring effective implementation of HR policies in a high-demand, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end recruitment for logistics-specific, fleet-related, and supply chain positions, coordinating with recruitment vendors to deliver quality candidates
- Oversee complete onboarding, induction, confirmation, and exit processes for all staff categories
- Administer attendance tracking, roster scheduling, leave management, and absenteeism monitoring
- Serve as primary HR contact for drivers, warehouse crew, and fleet staff, addressing grievances and resolving workplace conflicts professionally
- Ensure strict adherence to Nigerian labor laws, industry regulations, and health and safety standards
- Implement performance management systems, monitor KPIs, and support disciplinary processes
- Collaborate with finance on payroll processing, overtime calculations, allowances, and statutory deductions
- Maintain accurate personnel records, prepare HR metrics, recruitment dashboards, and workforce reports for senior management
- Coordinate employee engagement, welfare programs, and training initiatives
- Minimum 3-5 years proven HR experience strictly within logistics, transport, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- ACIPM professional certification (preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and industrial relations
- Advanced proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- High resilience, adaptability, and ability to handle operational emergencies
- Strong capability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
