About the Role
Solidarités International is looking for a dedicated Human Resource Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to join our humanitarian mission in Nigeria. For over 35 years, our organization has been committed to providing rapid, efficient aid to populations endangered by conflicts and natural disasters, focusing on vital needs such as water, sanitation, and hygiene. In this strategic role, you will lead the mission's HR function, ensuring effective workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and full compliance with local labor laws while serving as a key link between the field and headquarters.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Country Office HR strategy, workforce planning, team sizing, and organizational chart management.
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, manage administrative dispute follow-ups, and maintain relationships with relevant authorities.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, career management, and the implementation of staff training and development policies.
- Manage HR administration, including payroll validation for local staff, social security contributions, tax declarations, and expatriate staff support.
- Promote a safe working environment, drive social dialogue, manage internal conflicts, and enforce policies against abuse and misconduct.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of progressive HR experience within an international NGO (INGO), alongside general HR experience in the public or private sector.
- Proven technical expertise in recruitment, performance management, HR information systems, and learning and development.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills with complete fluency in written and spoken English.
- Open exclusively to Nigerian nationals, with local language proficiency considered an asset and qualified female candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
