About the Role

Paras Energy is a diversified and internationally recognized energy company providing stable and reliable power through generation and distribution, alongside comprehensive EPC and maintenance services. We are seeking a responsible and proactive HSE Officer to support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across our growing portfolio of solar projects. In this role, you will play a vital part in identifying and controlling workplace hazards, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and maintaining rigorous safety supervision for high-risk activities such as work-at-height and electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce HSE standards across solar installation and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with PPE requirements and promote a robust safety culture among employees and contractors.
  • Conduct and review comprehensive risk assessments to ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
  • Manage the effective implementation and use of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for applicable site operations.
  • Deliver regular toolbox talks and safety briefings to communicate potential hazards and safe work practices.
  • Carry out routine site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and enforce timely corrective actions.
  • Supervise scaffolding, ladders, and other access equipment to guarantee proper inspection and safe usage.
  • Lead incident, accident, near-miss, and hazard investigations, ensuring proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor environmental compliance, promoting responsible waste management and pollution prevention.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant HSE work experience in the engineering or energy sector.
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mandatory possession of HSE Level 1-3 certifications.
  • Willingness to travel and work across various project locations in Nigeria.
  • Candidates based in or around Lagos, Kano, Abuja, and Enugu are strongly encouraged to apply.
