About the Role
DESAC Energy Nigeria Limited is a leading indigenous oil and gas, engineering, and industrial construction company based in Warri, Delta State. We provide comprehensive services covering oilfield operations, marine logistics, engineering, fabrication, maintenance, and various energy-related solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Houseboat Crew member to join our marine operations team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations, safety, and maintenance of our floating accommodations and marine support facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of the houseboat and living quarters.
- Assist with mooring, anchoring, and general marine deck operations as required.
- Support the catering and galley team with food preparation, serving, and inventory management when necessary.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and company policies.
- Monitor safety equipment, life rafts, and fire-fighting gear on board the vessel.
- Assist engineering and marine logistics personnel with routine maintenance tasks.
- Perform other related duties and shift-based tasks assigned by the vessel captain or camp boss.
- Minimum of SSCE, NECO, or relevant vocational certifications.
- Proven work experience as a houseboat crew, deckhand, or in a similar marine hospitality and operations role.
- Basic offshore safety training and relevant marine certifications (e.g., BOSIET, STCW) will be a strong advantage.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to swim and work in a marine environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to reside on-site and work effectively on a rotational shift schedule.
