We are currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and vigilant House Parent to join our vibrant boarding community in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured home away from home for our students, fostering their personal growth and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day supervision and pastoral care for students within the boarding house.
- Ensure students' safety, wellbeing, and welfare at all times.
- Maintain appropriate routines for waking, personal hygiene, meals, study, recreation, bedtime, and other boarding activities.
- Monitor students' whereabouts and ensure compliance with boarding schedules and movement procedures.
- Support students in developing independence, responsibility, and good personal habits.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and conducive residential environment.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a residential, boarding, or youth-focused care environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of empathy, patience, and dedication to child safeguarding and welfare.
- Ability to maintain firm yet fair discipline while building positive relationships with students.
