About the Role
Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier medical institution dedicated to excellence in patient care, research, and education. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Head of Unit, Store within our Procurement and Store Unit. In this vital role, you will ensure the efficient management of hospital supplies, inventory control, and operational logistics to support our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee daily operations of the hospital store and inventory control systems.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all medical and non-medical supplies received and issued.
- Collaborate with the procurement department to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Implement strict inventory auditing procedures and compliance standards.
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to understand departmental supply needs.
- Maintain computerized inventory databases and ensure full ICT compliance in daily operations.
- Possess a B.Sc or HND in Business Studies with at least two years of post-qualification cognate experience.
- Hold an intermediate certificate from NICA or ICMA.
- Must possess an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Demonstrate high standards of integrity, professional competence, and excellent interpersonal skills.
