Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the chefs and cooks with daily food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and accurately portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain immaculate cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery promptly and efficiently to ensure a continuous flow of service.
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store food deliveries and kitchen supplies in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations at all times.
  • Manage waste disposal effectively and keep all kitchen and storage areas organized and hazard-free.
  • Monitor stock levels, replenish supplies, and promptly notify supervisors of any impending shortages.
  • Support the broader culinary team seamlessly during high-volume breakfast, lunch, and dinner service periods.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of an SSCE or High School Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Prior working experience in a professional hotel, restaurant, or catering kitchen is a distinct advantage.
  • Foundational knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene practices, and proper food handling techniques.
  • Exceptional physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
  • Strong teamwork, active listening, and effective communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
