About the Role
Racham Humanitarian Academy, an initiative of the Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF) located in Abuja, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Caregiver. In this pivotal role, you will provide nurturing support, guidance, and daily care to vulnerable children, orphans, and youths, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being within our academy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct, compassionate daily care and supervision to orphans and vulnerable children at the academy.
- Develop and implement structured daily routines that promote emotional security, personal hygiene, and positive social behavior.
- Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and international partners such as World Challenge to support holistic youth development.
- Monitor the behavioral and emotional progress of children, reporting any concerns promptly to the management team.
- Organize engaging recreational, educational, and life-skills activities that foster confidence and resilience.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming residential and learning environment for all students.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in caregiving, childcare, or youth development within a structured environment.
- Exceptional fluency in the English language, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated passion for humanitarian work, youth empowerment, and poverty alleviation in Nigeria.
- High level of empathy, patience, emotional intelligence, and resilience.
