About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited, a premier hospitality consultancy firm based in Lagos, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations and elevate hospitality standards across our client properties. In this pivotal role, you will ensure immaculate presentation, hygiene, and comfort for all guests while optimizing departmental efficiency and resource management.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring strict compliance with the hotel's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct thorough daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain the highest quality standards.
- Supervise housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, cleaners, and laundry personnel, managing duty rosters, attendance, and performance.
- Manage linen and laundry operations, ensuring adequate inventory, proper sorting, washing, and minimization of loss or damage.
- Control inventory levels for cleaning chemicals, amenities, and uniforms, minimizing waste and conducting routine stock checks.
- Coordinate closely with the maintenance department to swiftly report and resolve room defects and equipment faults.
- Implement rigorous health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring safe handling of chemicals and proper management of lost and found items.
- Bachelor Degree, HND, or relevant professional qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or Tourism.
- Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in the hospitality industry, with significant supervisory or management experience in housekeeping.
- Strong expertise in room inspection, public area management, laundry operations, and linen control.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with strict attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
