About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a premier hospitality consultancy dedicated to elevating standards across Nigeria's hotel and leisure sector. We are currently looking for a meticulous and driven Hotel Auditor to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding our financial health by ensuring accurate revenue reporting, robust internal controls, and rigorous compliance across all operational departments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits of hotel revenue, expenses, and night audit operations.
- Verify daily sales across rooms, restaurants, bars, laundry, and event centres.
- Reconcile discrepancies between the Property Management System (PMS), POS terminals, cashbooks, and accounting records.
- Monitor stock usage, investigate financial variances, and conduct periodic physical inventory counts.
- Audit discounts, complimentary allocations, voids, refunds, and cancellations to prevent revenue leakages.
- Review purchase invoices, payment approvals, payroll records, and cash collections.
- Identify operational errors, fraud risks, and financial irregularities while recommending corrective measures.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings and internal control recommendations to management.
- B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN will be a distinct advantage.
- 2 to 5 years of proven auditing or accounting experience, ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Strong proficiency in hotel PMS, POS systems, and modern accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical skills, numerical accuracy, and high ethical standards of integrity.
