About the Role
TAAS College, Ibadan, a reputable co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, Amunigun Village, Bode Igbo, Ibadan, is seeking a dedicated, disciplined, and experienced Hostel Mistress. In this vital role, you will oversee the welfare, safety, discipline, and daily activities of students residing in the school hostel, ensuring a nurturing and orderly environment that aligns with our core values.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise students within the hostel and ensure their overall safety, health, and well-being.
- Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and disciplinary standards consistently and fairly.
- Monitor students academic, social, and emotional welfare, offering guidance where necessary.
- Coordinate hostel activities, prep hours, and daily routines efficiently.
- Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and proper maintenance of all hostel facilities.
- Liaise effectively with parents, school management, and staff regarding student welfare matters.
- Maintain accurate hostel records, incident reports, and daily attendance registers.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and student concerns.
- Minimum of 4 to 7 years of proven experience in hostel administration or student welfare management.
- Possession of an NCE, HND, or Bachelor Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain firm discipline while fostering a caring and supportive environment.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and a strong commitment to child safeguarding.
- Must reside in Ibadan or be willing to relocate to a close proximity.
