About the Role
Modern Scholars Private School, a leading educational institution located in the vibrant Soka area of Ibadan, Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Homeroom Teacher for our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the foundational years of our students, fostering a love for learning, and creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a stimulating EYFS curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of young children.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and organized classroom environment that encourages curiosity and positive behavior.
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and school management.
- Plan and facilitate engaging play-based learning activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your care at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, professional development workshops, and staff meetings.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a National Certificate in Education (NCE) in a relevant field.
- A valid Teaching License or Certification (TLS) is required.
- Certificate of Equivalency, where applicable for foreign qualifications.
- A minimum of two (2) years of proven teaching experience within an EYFS or early childhood setting.
